Some may say this title is a little premature but after what happened at Arrowhead last Sunday I’m ready to declare the Chiefs the 2019 AFC West champs and if you’re counting at home that is 4 in a row. It was a complete dismantling of our rivals from Oakland in what is our likely our last meeting between franchises from Kansas City and Oakland. The Chiefs won from opening kickoff to final whistle in a 40-9 victory. One coffee blogger predicted a blowout and was right for the first time in doing so.
This week is a new chapter in the Chiefs season. This is December, this is the Patriots in Foxboro, this is Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, this is playoff positioning. There is a lot riding on this game. With a win the Patriots can essentially lock up a bye in the AFC playoffs with a loss things get a little more foggy with Houston, KC, and Baltimore all owning tie breakers NEw England could essentially go from having home field advantage to being a wild card team in three weeks. That is the NFL folks. Prediction time. We have a classic and not so much like the AFC championship game in January, I think the D’s come to play in a 28-27 Kansas City victory. Watch for RBs catching footballs and a lot of them in this one.
Sometime great things come in sketchy packages, see photo below, I occasionally dig deep to find some roasters in these cities and I did in Boston where I found Jaho Coffee Roasters, which I believe really thrives in teas and Japanese ice cream but I digress because what came out of this little brown bag written on in Sharpie was delightful. Kilimanjaro an African Blend grown at great heights for unique fruit was and bold flavors. Bright and fruity right off the nose. We had some candy like scents, if you were curious to diabetes might smell like order a bag. After ground we get some more tannin like notes kind of bold like merlot. This light roasted masterpiece is easy drinking fruity like Hawaiian Punch but acidic and smooth like a complex symphonic masterpiece. This one really blew my mind. This goes to show you that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. To try this blend or of their single origins check them out at the link below. Have fun today and Go Chiefs. God Bless.
