As much as all three facets came together a week earlier to knock of Minnesota. There were let downs in very important segments of last Sunday’s matchup in Tennessee. The Chiefs won the turnover battle, put up 150+ yards, had more first downs, and won the time of possession battle and still found a way to lose. We’re less than 3 weeks removed from PM15 dislocating his kneecap and he still was able to go out throw for more than 400 yards and 3 TDs. This is a team that obviously talented but keeps getting in its own way of being successful one. With only a half game lead in the division the Chiefs will have to play their tail off to make the playoffs at this point.
This is a must win and I hope the extra day of rest will allow for some healing especially for our banged up O-Line. I’m still optimistic about this team even with the glaring faults that have been exposed over the last 6 weeks. We play 4 of our last 6 against division foes starting on Monday night and I expect this to be an old AFC West shootout with the good guys coming out ahead 42-35.
This week we are tasting a mild Ethiopian from Verve Coffee Roasters in Santa Cruz, California. Big, bold roasted malt scents hit you right out the bag. Almost like dark brown sugar or molasses, when ground you got more vibrant smells of sweet corn and fresh flowers. These were the more true flavors of this coffee. Never have I had a more tea like experience from a cup of coffee. I was warned of this from the flavor descriptors by the roaster. Though I don’t get the basil on the tongue I could get that from the nose. The citrus blossom and peach tea are right there sitting lightly nestled on the tongue. This is a delicate brew it starts light and finishes the same with only a tad bit of bitterness right at the back of mouth. This one kind of blows my mind because of I hadn’t brewed it I would be hard pressed to even call it coffee. I’m thankful for this introduction and would love this on one of those days I’m a little under the weather, with some Chinese delivery and some reruns of The Price is Right. I definitely recommend this cup to those wanting to venture outside the norm. To check out Yabitu Kona head on over to. https://www.vervecoffee.com/collections/all-coffee/products/yabitu-koba
Next week is a bye week. So I will probably find something local to review or something my wife brings me to try. If you have something you’d like my opinion on message me and I’ll gladly try your product. Peace and blessing and as always Go Chiefs!
