A victory that included big plays in all three facets took place at Arrowhead one week ago. A Damien Williams 91 yard TD tying the longest run in franchise history. A great team defensive effort to hold league leading rusher Dalvin Cook in check. And finally two HUGE field goals by Harrison Butker to tie and finally win on the the last play of regulation. I won’t go out and say that was a must win but it a very large victory that could go a long way to decide where this team lines up in the AFC playoff picture.
Today the Chiefs head to Nashville to take on the Titans. The last of our AFC South schedule where the Chiefs are on 1-2. I feel extremely confident for 2 reason the PM15 is back in the picture and the defense I try so hard to hate is playing good football and is getting fully healthy. No team in the NFL has been hit by the injury bug as much as the Chiefs nor has anybody played a more difficult schedule. I expect the Chiefs to come out early and display their overall talent advantage in cruising and convincing 37-14 victory. Bold prediction moving forward I don’t think the Chiefs lose again until 2020.
Our selection this week is a medium roast Honduran from Steadfast Coffee in Nashville. Siguatepeque Cerro has a very malty and toasty nose straight off the beans that becomes really earthy after ran through the grinder. From the nose to the mouth this brew takes a 180 and turns sweet in a surprising way for my senses. Depths of caramel, dehydrated apple, and sweet milk chocolate start off on the tongue and a creamy complex finish with bits of tobacco and spiced rum at the back of the mouth. This was a fun coffee to drink. I shared it with my family earlier this week as we celebrated the 97 year life of my great grandmother Edna Meyer. It was a hit with a tad bit of feistiness just like her. If you care to give this one a try check them out at their website. Sorry for the late post and Go Chiefs!
