Mild High

I’m not above admitting when I was wrong and glad our Chiefs proved me that way Thursday night. Outside the obvious disappointment of PM15 going out with a dislocated kneecap in the second quarter the Chiefs looked every bit the part of a Championship football team. Though I’m not convinced that was the Chiefs front 7 on D or if the Broncos are even considered a CFL team. That was a complete team victory and beat down of a divisional rival on prime time and that’s always sweet to savor.

This week we open as 3.5 point home favorites against the 5-1 Green Bay Packers. Obviously Vegas is putting a lot of stock in last weeks results. The Chiefs do get 10 days of working with new QB1 Matt Moore and hopefully a healthy LT Fisher and Sammy Watkins. If all those things pan and play well I can see the Chiefs pulling this one out but that’s asking a lot. I see a close game and will be pulling all the way for my boys but I see Aaron Rodgers making too many plays when it counts and the Pack leaving Arrowhead with a 30-26 victory.

This week we’re sampling a Papua New Guinea from Luna Coffee Roasters in De Pere, Wisconsin, just outside of Green Bay. An intense nutty pecan and roasted peanut aroma on the nose with some earthy under tones like a damp fall morning. On first sip you notice how mild this brew is with light notes of lemony citrus and raw sugar cane. At the tail end you notice a little more complexity with a tad bit of milk chocolate and something tropical almost like coconut. This is the cup you drink for hours on end at the office or talking with your buddies at the local diner. Nothing overly memorable but your satisfied once your done. Please check this out by visiting and stay up late on Sunday and I watch Sunday night football between the Chiefs and Packers.
